Saudi Jeddah to finalize public transportation project by 2022

(MENAFN) The Saudi city of Jeddah announced the completion of 24 tunnel projects since 2011 and is currently planning to complete a full integrated public transportation system by 2022, Saudi Gazette reported.

The new project will adhere to the city's infrastructure development plan and will consider the 2,300 official suggestions and complaints issued by the general public, the Mayor of Jeddah commented regarding the plan.

"Jeddah is one of the busiest trade cities in the world and is the entrance to the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah," the Mayor said in an official statement.
