Celebrated Indian play 'Ek Mulaqaat' comes to Dubai

Featuring actors Shekhar Suman and Deepti Naval Ek Mulaqaat (One Meeting) is set to be performed on June 5 and 6 at Ductac Theatre in Mall of the Emirates.

The Hindi/Urdu play directed by Saif Hyder Hasan is about an intense relationship between celebrated Urdu poet Sahir Ludhianvi and acclaimed Punjabi author Amrita Pritam featuring poetry from the legendary duo. Hasan brings with him a wealth of experience having written two books and ten plays many of which have been met with critical acclaim.

Lead actor Suman who is returning to the theatre after a long illustrious career in television where he was featured in shows including Dekh Bhai Dekh and Reporter will share the stage with art-house actress Naval best known for her work in films including Chashme Baddoor (1981) and Mirch Masala (1985).
