Iraqi PM declares start of campaign to liberate Mosul from ISIL

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Al-Abadi said Monday that operations to liberate the northern city of Mosul from ISIL have begun, warning at the same time on the international efforts failures to stop terrorists flooding into Iraq.

Prior to his departure to Paris, Al-Abadi said in the past few days several critical successes were made in operations against ISIL on many fronts.

Cities that witnessed such success included Beji, Al-Tharthar, Jebal Hamraine, and Anbar and Al-Ramadi themselves, Al-Abadi said, adding that all victory is coming one after the other in all fronts.

The Iraqi premier is scheduled to make a speech at Paris conference where he will be calling for urgent military aid for operations in Mosul and Ramadi, in addition to humanitarian aid to more than three million displaced people.
