Qatar stock index gains 128.23 points
(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Qatar Stock Exchange index advanced 128.23, or 1.06 percent, when the bourse closed Monday at 12,176.49 points from Sunday's 12,048.26 points.
The market capitalization increased to QR649.46bn from QR642.564bn registered Monday.
The traded valued increased to QR602.88m with a volume of 15,535,360 shares from 6,389 transactions compared with QR517.20m with a volume of 16,286,703 shares from 5,842 transactions registered Sunday.
From the 43 companies listed on QSE, shares of 42 saw trading today. From these 30 gained, seven declined and five remained unchanged.
Transport index gained the most today, up 1.70 percent today when it closed at 2,495.29 points. Banks and financial services gained 1.46 percent to 3,208.89 points and industries moved up 1.51 percent to 3,910.47 points.
Insurance index slipped a further 1.75 percent to 4,775.56 points.
QSE Total Return Index gained 1.06 percent (18,922.89 points), QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index gained 1.05 percent (4,648.17 points), QSE All Share Index gained 1.05 percent (3,253.52 points).
