(MENAFN) Iceland saw its balance of services trade increase to a surplus of USD144.79 million in the first quarter of 2015, up from USD115.95 million in the first quarter of 2014, Xinhua reported.
According to preliminary figures released by Statistics Iceland, Iceland's export of services in 2014 was about USD750.89 million and the import of services was USD606.45 million.
The country's current trade surplus stands at USD168.77 million, as transport sector was the top earner of trade surplus in the country's service sector, according to Statistics Iceland.
