US, Jordan sign USD1.5b third loan


(MENAFN) The United States granted Jordan a loan of about USD1.5 billion to help the Kingdom in sustaining its solidity, safety, and economic progress, a statement said, Kuwait News Agency reported.

The loan will further assure that the Kingdom will be more capable of providing necessary services to its people while hosting about 630,000 registered refugees, according to a statements issued by the UN.

Jordan previously issued sovereign bonds worth USD1.25 billion in 2013 and USD1 billion in 2014 with US Government guarantees.
