Abdullah bin Zayed receives Senegalese FM


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister of the UAE, received Mankeur Ndiaye, Senegal's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad, on Sunday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of promoting and enhancing these in various spheres. They also exchanged views on the latest developments in Africa.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the Senegalese foreign minister and wished for further communication and mutual cooperation between the two countries for the benefit of their peoples.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah also stressed that the UAE is interested in bolstering its relations with African countries, including Senegal, with a focus on the economic, trade, investment and energy fields, through reinvigorating trade exchange and strengthening ties between the businesses of both sides.

Minister Ndiaye commended the level of relations between Senegal and the UAE and stressed that his country is keen on promoting and developing these relations so as to serve the common interests of both countries.

The Senegalese minister hailed the civilisational progress in the UAE and expressed his country's interest in benefiting from this experience.

He also hailed the UAE's humanitarian stance and support for Senegal.
