(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, today toured the Fujairah Friday Market and inspected the shops damaged in the massive fire that broke out yesterday.
Shop owners briefed Sheikh Hamad on the cause of fire, the extent of damage and the amount of their financial losses. He thanked the Directorate of Civil Defence for its quick response and efforts made to put out the fire.
He issued orders to the officials at the Fujairah Government to provide assistance to people affected by the fire and to rebuild and reopen damaged shops.
Sheikh Hamad was accompanied during his tour of the market by Mohammed Saeed al Danakhani, Director of the Fujairah Amiri Court, and Mohammed Saif Al Afkham, Director of Fujairah Municipality and a number of officials.
