FAIRFAX VA. – The Megadance Dancesport Championships are coming up on Saturday May 30 and represent one of the biggest events of the year for Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Fairfax.
The competition is open only to the Fred Astaire Dance Studios around the U.S. and will be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington D.C. on Saturday May 30. The Grand Hyatt is located at 1000 H Street in the Penn Quarter which offers close proximity to the Metro Center station on Metro.
This is an all-day happening where FADS of Fairfax students compete against others from across the country for top prizes as well as money. The Pro/Am competition features an amateur (women students) paired with pro partners (teachers). They’ll compete in selected dances together against other students in their age category.
Tickets for spectators are $25 per person to watch the Pro/Am competition during the day and $155 for the evening session which includes the professional competition pro show dinner and a night full of social dancing.
Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Fairfax serves Northern Virginia including Annandale Arlington Ashburn Burke Fairfax City and the Washington D.C. metro area.
