(MENAFN- Gulf Times) An Arab expatriate man was sentenced in absentia to six months in jail followed by deportation for stealing an iPhone from a Qatari man's vehicle, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported yesterday.
A Doha Criminal court sentenced the convict based on his confession at the police and Public Prosecution investigation.
The Qatari man had left his vehicle at a parking lot of an Independent School. The convict managed to lower the glass of the backdoor, opened the vehicle and stole the iPhone.
