Al Maya keen to expand its UK product portfolio

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) UK Ambassador to the UAE Philip Parham visited Al Maya Group's supermarket at Murooj Complex in Dubai recently.

The British diplomat praised the group's role in promoting the UK's food products in the UAE.

Kamal Vachani, Al Maya Group director, informed the ambassador about the variety of British products available at Al Maya supermarkets.

Al Maya Group is keen to expand its products portfolio from the UK, Vachani told the ambassador. They also discussed ways to further enhance food and vegetables trade. Al Maya Group imports a large number of FMCG comprising canned goods, cereals, organic range, dairy products, juices, baby foods, crisps and cheese from the UK, Vachani said.

Vachani thanked Parham for visiting Al Maya supermarket. He promised Al Maya Group's full support for importing more FMCG goods from the UK.

Last year, more than £12 billion of goods and services were exchanged between the two countries, according to the UAE-UK Business Council. The UAE is the UK's largest export market in the Arabian Gulf.
