Iraqi Prime Minister Meets UN Official


(MENAFN- QNA) Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al Abadi met Sunday with the representative of the UN Secretary-General for Iraq Jan Kubis.
During the meeting, they reviewed future United Nations programs in Iraq, and their contribution to restoring stability to the liberated areas as well as the conditions of displaced persons and political and security situation.
Abadi also praised with UN role and support for the efforts to fight the Daesh organization, in addition to its support to bring life to the liberated areas.
For his part, Jan Kubis expressed the United Nations' commitment to fully complete its mission in Iraq by adopting the financial and operational management tasks to restore stability to the liberated areas, which will be a major focus at the Paris Conference beginning next month.
Iraqi Prime Minister also met with Coordinator of the International Coalition against Daesh Gen. John Allen and discussed with him the situation of war against the organization.
