Tibet tourism revenue hit USD207.92m in 4M


(MENAFN) Tourism revenue in Tibet Autonomous Region surged nearly 40 percent in the January-April period, thanks to a 22.2-percent increase in visitors to the region in the period, Xinhua reported.

According to the tourism authority, more than 1.01 million people from China and abroad visited Tibet in the first four months, up 22.2 percent on-year. Foreign visitors rose 17.3 percent to 23,421.

Tourism revenue increased 39.3 percent to reach USD207.92 million in the same period, including USD15.36 million from foreign visitors, the region's tourism authority data showed.
