Former Gov. O'Malley announces '16 candidacy for US Pres.
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Former two-term Democratic Maryland governor Martin O'Malley announced his 2016 candidacy for US President on Saturday in remarks made in Baltimore.
O'Malley put emphasis on middle class economics and closing the wage gap between rich and poor.
"Recently, the CEO of Goldman Saches let his employees know that he'd be just fine with either Bush or Clinton. I bet he would," he said. "Well, I've got news for the bullies of Wall Street: The presidency is not a crown to be passed back and forth." O'Malley's main hurdle will be to beat out the candidate Hillary Clinton who remains far ahead in polls for a democratic nomination for President.
