GCC condemns terrorist attack in Saudi Arabia


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The GCC countries strongly condemned on Friday the "terrorist attack" that took place near Al-Anod Mosque in the Saudi city of Dammam, which killed and wounded a number of innocent people during Friday prayers.

In a statement, GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani described the terrorist bombing as a "heinous and coward crime," which is distant from Islamic principles, laws, ethics, and human values, stressing on GCC solidarity with Saudi Arabia in taking all the necessary measures to ensure stability and security of the country.

The GCC Chief also affirmed on commitment to confront terrorism regardless of its motives and accomplices.

Al-Zayani also expressed confidence on the efficiency of Saudi security apparatus to find the culprits.
