(MENAFN- The Peninsula) A special Disney on Ice show being staged at Qatar National Convention Centre at 11am today by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has come in for flak from nationals who say it coincides with Friday prayers.
"Families must get ready for Friday prayers so how can they possibly take children to the show. The timings of the show and Friday prayers clash," said Abdulaziz Al Boanain. "The organisers should have lined up the show before or after Friday prayers," he told Al Sharq.
Another citizen, Abdul Hadi Al Dosri, was furious and said QTA doesn't show respect for Friday prayers. Other events held by it in the past were also timed like that, he added.
