Transport Minister: Job Opportunities Await Qatari Graduates of Aeronautical College

(MENAFN- QNA) HE Minister of Transport Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti expressed his pleasure over graduation of a new batch of 52 Qataris and 46 non-Qataris from (QAC) in the presence of a large number of parents and students during the graduation ceremony.

In a statement on the sidelines of the graduation ceremony hosted today by QAC Under the patronage of HE Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Al Sulaiti said the graduates will support the aviation industry, meteorological industry, and airport operations management.

He noted that the college reached this status as a result of the directives of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and vigorous follow-up by HE the prime minister and interior minister.

HE Al Sulaiti affirmed that the ministry is committed to providing jobs for Qatari graduates in areas of their specializations whether in airport operations, meteorology or engineering departments, saying that the number of female graduates surpassed the number of male graduates, which, he noted, shows that the aviation field is becoming more attractive to female students.

Speaking at the event, QAC Director General of the College Ali Ibrahim Al Maliki extended his greetings to HH the Emir and Qatari officials for opening the door to Qataris to gain more learning skills and knowledge, noting that the world is in need for five million additional jobs in the aviation industry by 2030, which requires bridging the deficit in the global aviation industry.
