Riyadh places 2 Hezbollah leaders on 'terror list'

(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) Saudi Arabia has placed two leaders of the Lebanese Hezbollah group on its official "terror list".

The official SPA news agency reported that Hezbollah leaders Khalil Youssef Harb and Mohamed Qablan had both been placed on the list.

According to a statement cited by the news agency, the two men were blacklisted "for their involvement in terrorist acts".

The statement went on to assert that both Harb and Qablan had been responsible for "supporting the Assad regime [in Syria], sending fighters to Syria, and channeling funds to various factions in Yemen and to military commanders responsible for terrorist operations in the Middle East".

Since the eruption of the Syrian civil war almost four years ago, Hezbollah has been fighting alongside troops loyal to the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
