Heat wave to subside today in Jordan


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) The Kingdom will remain under effect of the heat wave; therefore it will be hot across the Kingdom with southwesterly moderate winds.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), the heat wave will taper off in the afternoon when mercury levels will drop and normal summer conditions will prevail in the highlands, but it will remain relatively hot in the rest of the country.

Light showers are also expected in the eastern and southern regions while winds will be westerly to northwesterly brisk raising dust in most areas of the country.

Temperatures will slightly drop on Friday creating moderate conditions in most regions with low clouds and westerly to northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.

Temperatures in Amman will range between a high of 36 degrees Celsius and a low of 18 degrees while in Aqaba temperatures will reach a high of 41 degrees dropping to 24 degrees at night.
