Egypt extends opening of Rafah border crossing


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Egyptian authorities extended the opening of the Rafah border crossing with the Gaza Strip for a third day on Thursday to allow stranded Palestinians to return home, Egyptian border officials said.

The border, on the first day, saw the crossing of 564 Palestinians into the Gaza Strip, alongside 1,087 tons of building material.

The source added that 791 Palestinians,1,290 tons of building materials, and 100 special-needs chairs were allowed into the Strip on the second day.
