Spire Payments chosen by Knet as a key supplier of POS solutions


(MENAFNEditorial) 28th May, 2015 - Knet, the provider of electronic banking services to all Kuwaiti banks, has today announced the selection of Spire Payments as a key supplier of end-to-end payment solutions. This significant statement made at Cards and Payments Middle East 2015 will ultimately see the widespread deployment of Spire Payments' market-leading POS solutions across Kuwait. Utilising the very latest mobile and contactless/NFC (near field communication) capabilities, this strategic partnership will ensure Kuwaiti banks are amongst the first in the region to capitalise on this innovative technology.

With its headquarters in Dubai, Spire Payments MEA, a subsidiary of Spire payments Group, has significant capabilities demonstrated by the rapid development of the accredited Knet payment application residing on the POS device. In addition, the MEA base will provide technical support and repairs while ensuring Knet can capitalise on the latest technological innovations brought to market by Spire Payments. This is typified by the company's latest range of POS devices - the 'SP' family – offering a solution for all environments: countertop (IP, dial-up and GPRS), mobile wireless (WiFi and GPRS), retail PIN Pads and mPOS. All are contactless/NFC capable, PCI PTS compliant, and share common software architecture and SDK (software development kit). This approach and level of compliance will ensure Knet's customers can be confident the SP range will deliver optimum lifespan and the latest functionality once deployed.
