141 Motorists Held in Kuwait


(MENAFN- Arab Times) The General Traffic Department distributed security patrols on roads, as per instructions from the Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs Major General Abdullah Al-Mehanna, and recovered 24 vehicles that were reported stolen or wanted by law.

An Interior Ministry press release said 42,065 traffic citations were issued in the course of campaigns organized from May 17-23 during which officers impounded 2,236 vehicles plus 5 motorbikes, and referred 141 motorists to custody.

Statement added the traffic campaigns on roads will continue over an indeterminate period to ensure road safety and control violations and accidents.
