Over 50 exhibitors take part in Omani Honey Products Market


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The fourth edition of the Omani Honey Products Market opened at Muscat Grand Mall on Wednesday.

Inaugurated by H E Dr Fuad bin Jaafar bin Mohammed al Sajwani Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries the exhibition marks the ministry's efforts to promote Omani honey and provide a platform for honey producers and consumers to meet.

With participation of over 50 exhibitors from different parts of the sultanate the exhibition also includes a stall set up by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries officials which aims to raise awareness on its initiatives.

In a statement the H E Dr Sajwani said that the success of the previous editions has encouraged the ministry to organise the event this year as well. In 2014 414546kg of honey worth more than RO10.3mn was produced. The exhibition will conclude on Saturday.
