EU condemns assassination attempt on Libyan PM
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The EU Wednesday condemned yesterday's attack on Libyan Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Thinni as "an outrageous assault to further destabilise Libya." "Thankfully the Prime Minister survived the attack unharmed," said Catherine Ray, spokesperson for EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, in a statement.
The EU, she noted, calls upon all parties in Libya to unite in confronting attempts that undermine Libyan efforts to find a political agreement.
According to media reports, one of Al-Thinni's bodyguards was wounded when gunmen attacked his car in the city of Tobruk.
