UAE- International Elite Paediatric Gastroenterology Congress addresses paediatric gastroenterology and nutrition challenges


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) International and local medical professionals in paediatric gastroenterology, nutrition and liver gathered in Dubai for the Elite Paediatric Gastroenterology Congress taking place 27th € 29th of May, organised by Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) and inaugurated by SKMC Chief Executive Officer Mr. Benjamin Frank Jr.

SKMC, managed by Cleveland Clinic, is part of the SEHA HealthSystem and owned and operated by Abu Dhabi Health Services Company PJSC (SEHA), which is responsible for the curative activities of all the public hospitals and clinics in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

"This comprehensive scientific programme brings together a fascinating mix of professional speakers from every continent, all providing the creme de la creme of paediatric expertise, sharing their cutting edge studies through a wide range of educational sessions and presentations, making this annual gathering a must-attend for all our colleagues in the world of paediatric gastroenterology and nutrition, " mentioned Mr. Benjamin Frank Jr..

"Many challenges surrounding the health, nutrition and well-being of children all over the world have lead experts to warn against the consequences that may occur if these challenges are not taken into serious consideration," said Dr. Mohammed Miqdady, Chief of Paediatric Gastroenterology at SKMC, adjunct staff at Cleveland Clinic, USA and conference chairman. Dr. Miqdady enthusiastically added: "As part of our commitment to society to educate parents on the health and well-being of their children and in conjunction with the congress activities, we have included a Parent's Educational Activity program on the last day of the Congress on Friday May 29th from 4 pm to 8 pm. There will be various lectures discussing different topics of concern with parents such as picky eaters, child obesity, nutrition, celiac disease and gluten free diets, food allergies, inflammatory bowel disease and much more,".
