European stocks close sharply higher


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Europe's main stock markets closed sharply higher on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index ending the day up 1.21 percent at 7,033.33 points.

In Frankfurt, the DAX 30 climbed 1.26 percent to 11,771.13 points, while in Paris the CAC 40 rose 1.95 percent to 5,182 points.
