Father of Qatif suicide bomber condemns son
(MENAFN- Arab News) ZULFI Qassim: The Al-Qashami family in the Kingdom has condemned the suicide bomb attack Friday by one of its members on a mosque in Qatif that killed 21 people killed and over 100 injured.
Saleh Al-Qashami 20 had blown himself up in the Imam Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque in Al-Qadeeh during prayers.
Several leading members of the family slammed the attack and declared their loyalty and obedience to the Kingdom Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Crown Prince Mohammad bin Naif deputy premier and interior minister and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman second deputy premier and minister of defense.
Sheikh Suleiman bin Abdullah Al-Qashami said the family stands with the nation in fighting the terrorists who are causing such harm. He said he was saddened by the fact that some young people have fallen prey to the designs of these groups and carried out their 'foul plans.'
'We need to be determined in taking out such people and pray to God to keep us away from ideas that are against our religion and national (ideals)' he said.
Sheikh Suleiman bin Abdulmuhsin Al-Qashami said he was flabbergasted that such an attack had taken place. 'I cannot believe that men could go into a house of God and kill people by blowing themselves up. Their lives are sacred in the eyes of God.'
Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmad Al-Qashami head of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in Zulfi governorate denounced the attack as a 'criminal act' against citizens and expatriates and sent his condolences to the families of the deceased.
He said that he would pray to God to protect the nation which is stable and whose governance is based on Islamic law. He praised King Salman and the crown prince for their leadership.
Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Qashami said the attack was un-Islamic because it targeted innocent people praying in a mosque. No person in his right mind could support such behavior he said.

Abdulrazzak bin Abdullah Al-Qashami said the attack would not divide the community. Those who threaten the country in this way should be found and punished he said.
