LLC (www.sbsco.com) one of the largest MBE underwriting firms in the U.S. and the top MBE in the municipal finance sector announces that Debra Gordon Woods has joined the firm as Senior Vice President. Ms. Gordon Woods who is past president of the Chicago Chapter National Association of Securities Professionals (NASP) will work in the firm’s Capital Markets Group.
Ms. Woods has worked as an institutional sales /trader developing a book of business from scratch in a business arena that is most typically male-dominated. Aside from being past President of NASP Chicago Chapter she is a member of Women in Pensions the Financial Women’s Association and a Board member of Cornerstone Recovery Homes.

Ms. Gordon Woods has over 25 years of Wall Street experience with special expertise in public pension funds Taft –Hartley corporate and investment managers’ relationships. Ms. Gordon Woods is a graduate of DePaul University and hold series 7 55 and 63 licenses. In her new role she will be overseeing banking activities maintenance of existing client relationships and development of new business from pension funds and plan sponsors.
Prior to joining SBSCO Ms. Woods worked with MR Beal & Company Williams Capital Group and Utendahl Capital Partners. She began her career on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) and has worked in various capacities in the trading arena.
In late 2014 SBSCO acquired Siebert Capital Markets (SCM) expanding the company’s product and service offerings to now include corporate debt and equity underwriting investment banking and execution services.
