(MENAFN) Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said the country is set to log a 7.3 percent drop in revenue of exports of farm products in the January-May period, Xinhua reported.

During the five-month period, Vietnam is estimated to rake in over USD11.4 billion from farm exports. Of the total figure, export of major agricultural products is likely to bring in over USD5.62 billion.

Meanwhile, forestry products are seen to bring nearly USD2.7 billion and fisheries products nearly USD2.42 billion, state-run radio Voice of Vietnam (VOV) quoted the ministry as saying.

Specifically, the five-month rice export volume is likely down by 11.4 percent on-year, while that of coffee, tea and pepper drops by 39.4 percent, 2.5 percent and 21.1 percent, respectively.
