UAE Central Bank reviews report on financial stability


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The board also reviewed the Central Bank's report concerning financial stability to be issued in June 2015.

Abu Dhabi: The board of directors of the Central Bank of the UAE discussed a report on the most important issues in the Federal Law No. (10) of 1980 regarding the Central Bank monetary system and organisation of banking that are proposed to be amended and the reasons for such amendment.

The board also reviewed the Central Bank's report concerning financial stability to be issued in June 2015.

The board also reviewed the following reports: Internal Audit Department’s Quarterly Report for the three months period ended March 31 2015; external auditor’s report on the Central Bank’s financial statements as at March 31 2015. The board of directors of the Central Bank of the UAE held its fourth meeting for 2015 on Sunday at the Central Bank – Dubai branch under the chairmanship of Khalifa Mohammed Al Kindi chairman of the Board. The meeting was attended by Khalid Juma Al Majid deputy chairman; Mubarak Rashed Al Mansoori the governor; and board members Younis Haji Al Khoori Khalid Mohammad Salem Al Balama Khalid Ahmad Al Tayer Hamad Mubarak Buamim.

The Central Bank of the UAE also announced that the money supply aggregate M1 increased by 0.8 per cent from Dh470 billion at the end of March to Dh473.6 billion at the end of April 2015. However the money supply aggregate M2 decreased by 0.8 per cent from Dh1191.9 billion at the end of March to Dh1182 billion at the end of April 2015. Similarly the money supply aggregate M3 also decreased by 0.1 per cent from 1377.2 billion at the end of March to Dh1376.1 billion at the end of April 2015.
