Qatari Envoy to Nepal meets UN official


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar's Ambassador to Nepal Ahmed Jassim al-Hamar met the World Food Programme (WFP) representative in Nepal Pippa Bradford in Kathmandu.

During the meeting, Pippa Bradford gave an account of the WFP's activities following the devastating earthquakes which hit the country, pointing out that the WFP provided food aid for over 2mn people affected by earthquakes.

The ambassador briefed the WFP official on the relief assistance provided by Qatar, which include food, a field hospital and a drinking water treatment plant.

The meeting dealt with means to enhance the partnership between the WFP, the friendly countries and the civil society.
