Lebanese army troops arrest 90 Syrians


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The Lebanese army troops arrested 90 Syrian people in the eastern city of Baqaa and the northern parts of the country on Monday.

The detainees were arrested under suspicion of association with terrorist groups or crossing into Lebanon illegally, according to a military statement.

Last week the army arrested dozens of Syrians under similar charges as part of intensified crackdown on militant organizations in the border areas.
