(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors) There were a lot of deals confirmed or announced today. Kicking off with Range Resources (LON:RRL) which has signed up to a conditional new funding deal worth up to US$35mln.with newly-established investment fund Beijing Sibo Investment Management.

Meanwhile pharmaceutical services firm Ergomed (LON:ERGO) said it is buying medical information firm Sound Opinion for an undisclosed sum.

Challenger Acquisitions (LON:CHAL) one of London’s standard listing cash shells has confirmed it has now entered into deals that will see it become a fully-fledged company.

Elsewhere parasite control specialist TyraTech (LON:TYR) has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with SmartPak Equine to launch an insect repellent called Outsmart Fly Spray.

There have been some boardroom shake-ups as well. Fred Krueger executive chairman of Minds + Machines (LON:MMX) is stepping down with Keith Teare taking on the role of Chairman.

StratMin Global (LON:STGR) has appointed Brett Boynton as its new chief executive to take advantage of a surge of investor interest in graphite in Australia.

IronRidge Resources (LON:IRR) said Tsuyoshi Ueda (Thomas Ueda) had joined the firm as a non-exec director with immediate effect. 

In other board-related news Mwana Africa (LON:MWA) said two of its managing directors have been appointed to the influential Chamber of Mines of Zimbabwe.

To mining – and Mariana Resources (LON:MARL) remains upbeat on the potential at Hot Maden after the early results from a second wave of drilling at the property in Turkey.

Also feeling positive is DiamondCorp (LON:DCP) which remains upbeat on the longer term outlook for diamond prices despite the soft start to 2015.

Kibo Mining (LON:KIBO)carried on the good vibes as it said it is making good progress on its coal to power project in Tanzania with the definitive mining feasibility study on schedule and within budget.

Equally optimistic Premier African Minerals (LON:PREM) expects to produce concentrate from its flagship RHA tungsten project by the end of the first week of June.

A new reserve estimate for the Stockton mine in Pennsylvania has increased the amount of coal available by 37% Atlantic Coal (LON:ATC) told investors.

Elsewhere Jubilee Platinum (LON:JLP) brought in £600000 via a placing to maintain momentum on its development projects.

Alexander Nubia (CVE:AAN) said it  had  settled certain of its debts by issuing shares. 

Meanwhile the Toronto-listed firm posted further positive results from the gold oxide cap at the Hamama project in Egypt which it said showed continuity of gold and silver.

In explorer news Austria-focused Noricum Gold (LON:NMG) has started geological mapping and sampling programme at the Walchen VMS deposit it acquired in March. 

In pharma news Recently-listed drug discovery group Redx Pharma(LON:REDX) has identified another potential blockbuster from its pipeline of drug candidates. 

Its oncology arm has found a would-be treatment for leukaemia and other blood cancers and auto-immune diseases such as lupus.

Specialist medtech company ANGLE (LON:AGL) has been granted a Chinese patent and an Australian patent for its Parsortix system.

In energy news San Leon Energy (LON:SLE) is to appeal against the decision of the International Court Arbitration in relation to a dispute with Avobone over the Siekierki asset.

Finally New Zealand-focused oil & gas group Kea Petroleum (LON:KEA) has suspended its shares after a fundraising exercise failed.
