Jordan King patronizes Independence Day celebrations


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) His Majesty King Abdullah II on Monday attended a ceremony marking the Kingdom's 69th Independence Day.
The ceremony was attended by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah and HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah.
Also, Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, Senate President Abdul Raouf Rawabdeh, Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh, Judicial Council President Hisham Tal delivered speeches in which they highlighted the many achievements accomplished in the Kingdom under the Hashemite leadership.
During the ceremony, King Abdullah bestowed medals and orders of various types upon several institutions and a group of distinguished figures in recognition of their efforts in supporting the Kingdom's ongoing development.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Royal family, senior officials, high- ranking officers, a number of diplomats, political party leaders, unionists, and public figures.
