Cabinet condemns mosque attack in Saudi Arabia

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The cabinet on Monday condemned a suicide attack that targeted a mosque east of Saudi Arabia on Friday, leaving scores of people dead or injured.

Some 21 people were killed and more than 80 wounded when a suicide bomber detonated an explosive-laden belt at a mosque packed with worshippers in the eastern province of Al-Qatif.

At the outset of the meeting, the ministers eulogized former National Assembly speaker Jassem Al-Kharafi who died on Thursday at the age of 75. They stressed Al-Kharafi's personal exploits and the great services he rendered to the country over the years.
