Lebanon affirms right to use "all legitimate means" to liberate lands

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Lebanese foreign ministry affirmed the country's right to liberate Lebanese territories occupied by Israel, by "using all legitimate means." Lebanon will spare no efforts in conveying this united national position to capitals and in international arenas, until there is a definitive end to Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty, including ending the occupation and full withdrawal of Israel from Lebanese territory, the minister said in a statement last night marking the liberation and resistance anniversary.

The ministry stressed importance on continuing using diplomatic channels and legal measures to hold Israel accountable, including Israeli officials responsible for crimes committed against innocent civilians in Lebanon and the region.

The ministry also noted on "the similarities between Israeli racist terrorism and ISIL terrorism in the region which intends to break up the area and turn it into rival blocs and sectarian divisions to destroy it." Lebanon celebrates on May 25th annually the (Liberation and Resistance anniversary) in memory of the last Israeli troops withdrew from southern Lebanon on May 25th in 2000.

However, Lebanon is still demanding the liberation of the Golan Shebaa Farms, Kafr Shoba heights, and the Lebanese part of Al-Ghajar border town south of the country from Israeli occupation.
