Mansour bin Zayed chairs ADFCA's 2nd annual meeting


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) yesterday held its 2nd annual meeting this year under the chairmanship of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

The Board reviewed a number of topics and projects which would help enhance food security and sustainability of environment in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

It also approved the exemption granted to all business projects funded by the Khalifa Fund from paying service fees, a decision taken by the authority with the exception of those cases in which violation or delay takes place or renewal fee is paid for any certificate or permit issued by the body after 30 days of the expiration date.

The Board also approved a reduced rate for main services and fees for those accessing these electronically via its website. Such a discount will range between five and 20 percent, and will become applicable from 1st of July, 2015. The concessional rate is aimed to encourage clients to use e-services.

The Board also endorsed the proposed budget for 2016 and also approved a number of issues on the agenda in this regard.
