Qatar Stock Index drops 43.93 points


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Qatar Stock Index (QSE) dropped 43.93 points (0.35 percent) when the bourse closed trading at 12,399.49 points here Monday compared to 12,443.42 on Sunday.

The market capitalisation decreased to QR658.52bn today from QR660.67bn registered Sunday.

The traded value increased to QR483.06m with a volume of 13,803,447 shares from 5,456 transactions compared with QR439.48m with a volume of 13,561,309 shares from 5,536 transactions on Sunday.

Barring banks and financial services index which gained 0.33 percent (3,227.93 points), indices of other sectors declined today.

QSE Total Return Index dropped 0.35 percent (19,269.45 points). QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index dropped 0.42 percent (4,714.87 points) and QSE All Share Index dropped 0.34 percent (3,301.98 points).

From the 43 listed companies, shares of 41 saw trading today. From these 12 advanced, 24 declined and five remained unchanged.
