Japan's trade deficit widens to USD438.32m in April


(MENAFN) The Japanese Finance Ministry said that the world's third largest economy's trade deficit widened last month, Xinhua reported.

The country's finance ministry said in a statement that the trade deficit stood at USD439.32 million in April.

The ministry said in a preliminary report that, on a custom- cleared basis, Japan's exports rose 8.0 percent from a year earlier, while imports dropped 4.2 percent.
