Saudi companies' market cap reaches USD467.5b


(MENAFN) The market capitalization of the listed companies in the Saudi financial sector recorded compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9 percent, hitting USD467.5b from 2009 to 2013, Arab News reported.

The figures came out from the Governor of Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), who additionally pointed out that the number of the Saudi listed firms also jumped to 163 in the same period, from an original 135.

SAMA plans to boost the role of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Saudi economy, which comes among many other steps taken in this regard.
