King River Copper gets busy with new exploration at Speewah Dome

King River Copper (ASX:KRC) has completed the first round of reverse circulation drilling at the Windsor prospect at Speewah Dome in Western Australia.

Recently completed IP surveys at Windsor had identified five priority targets for drill testing.

A total of seven holes for 1270 metres were drilled which was in excess of the planned 1000 metres. Drilling focused on the DDIP targets 1 and 2 at Windsor.

The company is focused on shallow IP anomalies rather than identifying and drilling targets below high grade samples.

All drill samples have been dispatched to Perth from site for assay and drill data is being compiled and results will be released when available.

Meanwhile King River has extended the Induced Polarisation survey at Chapman-Catto-Greys in the north-east sector of its Speewah Dome project in Western Australia’s Eastern Kimberley region.

This is due the company said to some interesting chargeability anomalies in both the gradient array (GAIP) and dipole-dipole (DDIP) surveys.

The third DDIP survey line at GreysCatto is currently being processed and the GAIP survey is now being completed at Chapman.

Drilling at Chapman-Greys is expected to re-commence later this week.

Windsor Prospect

Surveys have indicated that both chargeability and resistivity anomalies at Windsor correlate well with known geology and structures along the King River Fault Zone.

Importantly the IP surveys at Windsor have shown that the eastern fault of the King River Fault Zone has the strongest chargeability anomalies and has been completely missed in previous drilling.
