GM invests USD439m over Corvette plant expansion


(MENAFN) General Motors Company is set to invest a total of about USD439 million to expand its Corvette plant located in Kentucky, according to corporate statements, Motor Authority reported.

Most of the sum will be invested into GM's new 450,000 square-foot paint shop, which is scheduled to start for construction this summer and will take approximately two years for completion.

"The Corvette is one of Kentucky's most-cherished icons. Such a significant expansion of the Bowling Green assembly plant will help the company remain competitive in the region and around the world." An official said.
