Qatar reports new case of Coronavirus
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Qatari higher health council reported a new case of Coronavirus on Friday, a 73-year-old citizen.
The patient was suffering from severe pneumonia and is currently receiving treatment at the hospital, the council said in a statement, adding that he was diagnosed with Coronavirus after laboratory tests conducted in Hamad Medical Institute.
The statement noted that immediately upon receiving the report of diagnoses the field investigation team ordered all who contacted the patient to verify their conditions based on World Health Organization's relevant regulations, and will be monitoring them for over two weeks to make sure that they did not carry any symptoms of the disease.
The higher council joint field investigation team and the Department of Livestock Ministry in the Environment ministry is conducting epidemiological field investigations as well.
Three cases have been previously infected Coronavirus this year.
