Qatar - New Medical Commission unit in Mesaimeer soon

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) A new unit of the Medical Commission will be opened soon in Mesaimeer for workers, an official told local Arabic daily Arrayah.

The new unit, which could receive 500 visitors a day, is part of a co-operation between the Medical Commission Department and Qatar Red Crescent.

The official said the department would make specific appointments for each company or entity to bring their employees and workers for necessary medical checkups. This is intended to avoid unnecessary crowding at the Medical Commission units.

If a newly arrived expatriate is suspected to be infected with tuberculosis, communication is maintained with Hamad Medical Corporation on various aspects of the case before any decision is taken regarding his stay in the country or repatriation.
