Plotters will never succeed

(MENAFN- Arab News) The terrorist attack on a mosque at Al-Qadeeh in Qatif is alien to Saudi culture and norms. The use of a detonation belt signals that Islamic State is behind the carnage and its timing shows the terror group wants to exploit the region's volatile situation.
The Kingdom is leading a campaign after creating an alliance rarely found in the Arab world. This Saudi-led operation has made Arabs share a feeling they haven't seen in a while they are taking the initiative.
The pace of threats against the Kingdom both by terrorist groups and the states that support them signals that there is an attempt to instill divisions within Saudi society.
Sectarianism that has become a case of serious polarization in the region is not a feature of Saudi society. Saudis have always had Shiite neighbors and friends.
They have always lived together peacefully. Yet the current sectarianism uses religious emotions for political gains.
The Kingdom suffered a previous IS terror attack in Al-Ahsa where a Shiite shrine was indiscriminately attacked killing people. Our security forces were able to identify the terrorists in record time and all fingers pointed to IS. All Saudi factions and components were united against the operation and the intentions behind it.
It seems that Al-Qadeeh attack is another desperate attempt by this organization to cause a split in society and drive a wedge between its different components. However it's comforting to see the reactions since the accident.
All citizens scientists and thinkers stressed that the homeland is a red line and that the Saudi community stands as one against this attack. Saudis confirmed that they are united in their war against terrorism and attempts to drag Saudi society into sectarian wars would fail.
The terrorist incident shocked the Saudi and Islamic society as it targeted worshippers in a mosque performing the Friday prayer.
People have confidence in the capabilities of the Saudi security forces and trust that they will unveil the details of this terrorist operation and capture those involved. Also this incident will make Saudi society more aware of the severity of the plots that have been hatched to undermine internal security and stability.
