Qatar- Leaders greet Yemen president


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent a cable of congratulations to Yemeni President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi on his country's National Day.

Deputy Emir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani sent a similar cable to Hadi.

Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani also sent a congratulatory cable to the president.

Qatar slams Saudi terror attack



Doha: Qatar yesterday condemned a terrorist attack on people performing Friday prayers in a mosque in Qatif Governorate in Saudi Arabia, which led to a number of deaths.

The Foreign Ministry said in statement that Qatar was fully behind Saudi Arabia as it fights off criminal efforts aiming to destabilise the country and spread discord between people.

It also stressed Qatar's stance which rejects violence and terrorism in all its forms and expressed Qatar's condolences to victims' families.

Qatar backs fight against crime



Vienna: Qatar will continue to exert effort to help the international community fight organised crime and elevate values of justice, equality and the rule of law.

This came in a statement by Ahmad Hassan Al Hamadi, Manager, Department of Legal Affairs, the Foreign Ministry, at the 24th session of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.

He said the Doha Declaration lays out a roadmap for the next five years, with the framework and steps for governments to implement on national, regional and international levels to prevent crime and achieve criminal justice.
