Regime airstrike kills 40 of Syrian opposition fighters


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) At least 40 Syrian opposition fighters including three commanders were killed by an explosive barrel targeted their HQ in al-Sha'ar neighborhood, in the northern Aleppo province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) announced Thursday.

In a press statement, the SOHR added that the number of the dead is likely to rise according to the serious injuries.

It also noted that dozens of detainees inside the targeted building were also killed by the explosive barrel.

Separately, the SOHR reported the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) executed no less than 17 people in Tadmur city including regime soldiers and people allied to regime force, some of them have been beheaded after taking full control on the city yesterday.
