2 children hurt in Gaza Strip blast

(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) Two Palestinian children were injured on Wednesday when an explosive charge went off in a residential area in the northern Gaza Strip, eyewitnesses and medical sources have said.

Gaza Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qodra said the two children € who were both admitted to hospital € had sustained mild injuries as a result of the explosion.

Eyewitnesses, meanwhile, said unknown individuals had detonated the device near a building in the area, shattering glass windows.

There has been a surge in bomb attacks in the Gaza Strip in recent weeks, most of which have targeted the homes of leaders of Palestinian faction Fatah.
