Syrian regime airstrike leaves seven dead in Aleppo


(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) At least seven people lost their lives and five others were injured Wednesday in a regime airstrike in the northern province of Aleppo.

Alaa Muhammed, a volunteer rescue worker, told Anadolu Agency that a regime helicopter targeted the opposition-controlled Kadi Askar area using a barrel bomb.

"Assad regime targets residential areas in Aleppo every day and many civilians lose their lives," Muhammed said.

Syria's civil conflict, which has entered its fifth year, has left tens of thousands of people dead and millions of others displaced both internally and externally.
