Kuwaiti, Qatari audit bureaus discuss cooperation


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Top officials from the Kuwaiti and Qatari audit bureaus on Wednesday discussed a host of monitoring issues, in a bid to boost cooperation.

Kuwait's Audit Bureau Deputy Chairman Adel Al-Sarawi and chairman of Qatar's Audit Bureau Sheikh Bandar Bin Mohammad Al Thani also reviewed control tasks by the Kuwaiti regulatory body, according to an official statement.

During the meeting with Sheikh Bandar Al Thani and his accompanying delegation, Al-Sarawi reaffirmed support of the Kuwait's Bureau to Qatari counterpart, especially what is related to Qatar's hosting of an Arab-European forum in December.

Meanwhile, the visiting delegation was briefed by the Bureau's senior officials on the best technological systems used by the body, mechanisms of monitoring and reporting ministries and government departments, the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and affiliate companies, and Kuwaiti investments at home and abroad.

Earlier today, Sheikh Bandar Al-Thani was separately received by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
